Abi and Dean | Lansing Engagement Session

I knew this session would be fun, from following Abi on social media we had already figured we had tons in common. And as she so perfectly put it we bonded over “Twilight and Jesus.” I really hope we never made Dean feel out numbered but if he did, he never let it show!

Dean and Abi are simply perfect together, but our session might not have started out the same way. We had planned a beautiful park in Lansing, but were derailed by gates and muddy hills. A quick decision had us moving to the State Capitol building. I had only been there once before, but it doesn’t count because I was chaperoning a field trip and never really had the time to take in the gorgeous building. If you haven’t visited, you should go!! It really is a beautiful building and I enjoyed not only taking photos there but just taking it all in. Although I don’t spend much time in Lansing, for some reason downtown seemed like a ghost town and nicely we had the whole place to our selves.

This may not have been ideal spring weather but the setting and couple were lovely and warm. Abi and Dean were SO sweet and SO in love, they never once blinked when we changed locations or stood freezing in the wind (where the sun REFUSED to shine!). Abi and Dean, thank you for traveling to meet for this session and trusting me to tell your story! I loved every minute, and it made me all that more excited for your wedding day! It’s going to be here before we know it, in the mean time here are some favorites from your session!
